Mercer has appointed Stuart Birkett as Senior Portfolio Manager in its investments business.
Based in Melbourne, Mr Birkett will take the lead on managing Mercer’s multi-manager equity portfolios, reporting to Andrew Howard, Mercer’s Chief Investment Officer for Asia Pacific.
Mr Birkett has more than 20 years' experience in the investments/financial services industry, most recently as Director of Implemented Equities at Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC), where he was responsible for managing the multi-manager portfolios of QIC's investments in Australian equities, with a strong performance track record. He has also managed multi-manager portfolios in other sectors, including global equities.
