Multi-asset surveys

Australian Pooled Fund Survey

The monthly Australian Pooled Fund Survey tracks nearly 40 balanced wholesale funds. Products listed in this survey aim to hold a balanced portfolio that is exposed to both growth and protective asset classes. Among institutional investors, the Mercer Pooled Fund Survey is a well-respected guide to  the performance of balanced products.

Each survey contains manager performance details over 3 months, 1 year, 3 year and 5 year periods with rankings. They also include fund size information, means and medians. The survey is issued on an after tax and after management fees basis.

Note:As you would be aware, last year we ceased producing the Asset Allocation surveys and advised that we were assessing the continuation of the Pooled Fund and Capital Stable surveys. With the inclusion of the Employer Super surveys, we have decided to no longer distribute the Pooled Fund and Capital Stable surveys. We believe that these changes continue to ensure that our surveys remain at the forefront of industry developments.

Unlisted property surveys

Australian Mercer Unlisted Property Funds Index

The monthly Mercer Unlisted Property Funds Index is the market benchmark for direct property. Each page of the survey lists the current value of the Index compared to its value 12 months previous.

Mercer includes the pre-tax and post-tax value of the Index for each month of the year, plus the amount it has moved on the previous month, by percentage. Investors should note that the Index covers unlisted and direct property, or funds that invest chiefly in private commercial property.
